The Weavers' Triangle Visitor Centre

Try your hand at weaving!

Situated at Burnley Wharf by the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, the Visitor Centre tells the story of the canal, cotton and the Weavers' Triangle.

You can find out how cotton was made and try your hand at weaving. Whilst a weavers' dwelling brings life home life from a hundred years ago.

A weaver's life wasn't all work and no play and the Burnley Fair room allows visitors to discover what workers holidays were like. The room includes a popular working model fairground.

You can also take a look around Burnley Canal Toll Office where tolls were paid for using the canal or experience 19th century scholl life in our Victorian classroom.
