The Weavers' Triangle - Events & Exhibitions 2013

Regenerating the Weavers' Triangle

Friday 29th March - Sunday 27th October

This year's temporary exhibition will lift the lid on the work that is being undertaken to conserve key parts of the Weavers' Triangle such as Slater Terrace and Victoria Mill. See samples of materials and methods being used and compare them with those from the original buildings. The display has been prepared by the Borough's Townscape Heritage Initiative.

Guided Walks 2013

Burnley Wharf in the Weavers' Triangle

There will be a guided towpath walks through the Weavers' Triangle on:

Monday 6th May
Sunday 25th August

The walks commence at 2.15pm from the Weavers' Triangle Visitor Centre and finish with a visit to the engine house at Oak Mount Mill.

Burnley Canal Festival 2013

Burnley Canal Festival - last year

Friday 13th, Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September

Organised by the Burnley Canal Communities project this three day event will celebrate the town's canal heritage. Last year's event was a huge success and the visitor centre will be again be playing a full part in festivities with extended opening times, craft demonstrations and more.
